About Us

Scientific online journal "Russia in the Global World" is a humanitarian journal of scientific, theoretical and practical orientation, aimed at publishing and discussing the results of fundamental and applied scientific research in the field of international relations, political and historical sciences, regional studies. The online publication is the successor to the annual almanac of the same name (since 2012), which was published by the Humanitarian Institute of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University.

The mission of the journal is to develop a permanent platform for publishing relevant materials on the issues of modern dynamics of international relations and social challenges of the XXI century.

Tasks of the journal:

 - development of methodology and methodology of scientific humanitarian knowledge in the field of domestic and foreign regional studies and political science;

- introduction to a wide academic and public discourse of modern knowledge in the following areas: history of international relations, foreign regional studies, political sciences, historical sciences, and Eurasian integration.

Articles are published in Russian and/or English.

The Editorial Board includes leading Russian and foreign scientists.

The editorial board's work is aimed at spreading information about new scientific developments and popularizing relevant scientific knowledge about Russia's role in the global context, developing a dialogue of the international scientific community on topical issues of modern knowledge about Russia's role in international relations, political science and regional studies of Eurasia. The publication provides a wide coverage of both fundamental and applied research in the field of international relations, political processes, history and culture of the countries of the West and the East.

Target audience: the publication is intended for university teachers and students, scientists, graduate students and applicants, as well as those interested in discussing modern ideas and practices in the field of international relations, regional studies and political science.

indexation: information about the publications of the online publication is presented in the database "Russian Science Citation Index" (RSCI), hosted on the platform of the Scientific Electronic Library http://www.elibrary.ru , in CyberLeninka, as well as in the Russian State Library (RSL).

Since 2024, it has been included in the List of journals of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

The publication of scientific articles is free for all authors.

The articles of the journal are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). The requirements for compliance with publication ethics in the preparation and publication of an online publication concern all participants in the editorial and publishing process - authors, editors, reviewers, members of the editorial board, founder and publisher. The editorial policy of the online publication is based on modern legal requirements regarding copyright

At all stages of working with articles, as well as to communicate with authors, editors and reviewers, the website of the online publication and the electronic edition are used. All reviews are kept in the editorial office of the online publication for at least 5 years. In case of disputes, the editorial board of the online publication submits copies of reviews of articles to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. Information or ideas obtained during editing and reviewing and related to possible benefits are kept confidential and are not used for personal gain.

The journal provides a wide coverage of both fundamental and applied research in the field of international relations, political processes, history and culture of the countries of the West and the East.

The journal takes care of the preservation of electronic versions of articles. Articles and metadata are also posted in the Scientific Electronic Library of Russia, the Russian State Library and the SPbPU Electronic Library. In the latter, data security is ensured by backing up digital data. Cloud technologies are used.
