In 1989 graduated from the Faculty of History of the Belarusian State University with a degree in History. In 1988—1999 worked at the Belarusian State University, in 2000—2001 – at the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture,  in 2001–2008 served as head of the Department of the International Institute of Labor and Social Relations, in 2008—2014 – Associate Professor of the Department of International Relations  of the Belarusian State University

Since April 2014 – Head of the Department of Diplomatic and Consular Service, Faculty of  International Relations, BSU.

In November 2019 was elected a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the seventh convocation from the city of Minsk. Currently holds the position of Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus for International Affairs and National Security.

In 2008—2021  held the post  of Chairman of the Board of the Public Association

«Foreign Policy and Security Research Center».

In 2000 defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of historical sciences. In 2016 defended doctoral dissertation, and the same year was awarded the degree of Doctor of Sciences (in History).

He took part in the development and implementation of a number of international projects in the field of higher education.

Author of more than 200 educational, methodological and scientific publications.

Was awarded with a Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
