PROBLEMS OF SMALL PEOPLES IN NORTH OF RUSSIA

The article deals with the problems of the disappearance of the cultural connotation of small peoples living in the north of Russia. In the context of globalization and pressure from gas companies, there is practically no opportunity to preserve the usual, landscape-adaptive way of life, and at the same time, the foundations of the achievements of the national culture created by them throughout the entire period of their existence. Attention is focused on the lack of awareness of the younger generation about the existence of such a group of the Russian population. This paper lists the main small ethnic groups of Russia, describes their way of life, and identifies fundamental problems that threaten their entire future existence. The experience of solving similar problems in other states is considered.
