RUSSIAN AND FINNISH CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION AS AN EXAMPLE OF INTERNATIONAL INTEGRATION PROCESS EXEMPLIFIED BY SOUTH-EASTERN FINLAND – RUSSIA CBC 2014

The article examines cross-border relations between Russia and Finland in the period from the 19th century to the current time. The article provides a brief analysis of the economic relations in the 19th and 20th centuries. All existing cross-border cooperation programs between Russia and Finland, their tasks are examined and outlined. Particular emphasis is placed on the South- Eastern Finland – Russia CBC 2014-2020 program. The priorities of the program, its funding, budget, and structure are analyzed.
