The main directions of the policy of the People's Republic of China in Central Asia are: first, the commitment to good-neighborliness and peaceful coexistence; second, the development of mutually beneficial cooperation and the promotion of mutual prosperity; third, respect for the people’s choice in any of the countries in the region, based on noninterference in their internal affairs; fourth, respect for sovereignty to maintain stability in the region. China's policy in Central Asia is of great strategic importance, especially in terms of national, energy and economic security. The main policy methods of the People's Republic of China in the region are respect for Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. Special attention is paid to financial assistance aimed at the development of trade relations.
