The article examines the trends in the development of modern international law. Special attention is paid to the development of international law, which is a fact of the formation of the law of the international community. This formation is characterized by the priority function of ensuring the interests of the international community as a whole. In modern conditions, there is a process of emergence of new branches of international law: international space law, international environmental law, international civil procedure law, international criminal procedure law. The norms of international law become part of the national legal system, and knowledge of its foundations is necessary for individuals and legal entities to protect their rights within the country. Creating and ensuring the functioning of a new world order requires a higher organization of the world system, a significant increase in the degree of its manageability.
