NATIONAL POLICY OF ALEXANDER II

The article considers the issues of national policy in the reign of Alexander III.
Particular attention is drawn to the personal qualities of the emperor, which had a significant
impact on the formation of his outlook on the national policy issues. By nature, spiritual
outlook and appearance, he was a true Russian man. His name is associated with the slogan
"Russia for the Russians", which largely determined his national policy. The essence of this
policy was Russification. The article provides the general description of Alexander III
national policy. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the national policy towards Jews,
Poles and Finns.
