IOFFE INSTITUTE AND ITS SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY IN EVACUATION

Before the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945, the Ioffe Institute was a large
academic institute with a staff about 315 peoples. Its works for the defense tasks were
of importance in pre-war years. Institute and its scientists deal with degaussing, armor,
