UNBOWED DONBASS: THE ACTIVITY OF UNDERGROUND GROUPS IN CITY STALINO DURING THE PERIOD OF NAZI OCCUPATION IN 1941–1943

The Great Patriotic War is a heroic chapter in the history of Donetsk region.
Donbass fought bravely in 1941, reflecting the onslaught of the superior strength of the
enemy. The spirit of resistance to invaders was not broken in the hard days of the
bloody fascist regime. Together with the Red Army and the war waged underground
organizations, hitting the German fascist invaders in the rear. This article examines the
history of the Soviet underground in the city of Stalin in the period of Nazi occupation
