Fascists stormed the city three times. Despite the heroism of Sevastopol defenders,
who nearly seven months were in a siege, in July 1942 reserves were on an outcome

to captivity and death. Based on the memoirs and public sources, the authors tried to

overcoming of Japanese aggression. Today among numerous problems of history of
the international relations undoubted interest is represented by the plots connected

the Soviet-Chinese relations in the years of World War II possesses the undoubted

having many white spots. The role of the Soviet Union in the organization and support
of the powerful national liberation movement of indigenous people in China to the
second half of the 30th years - the first half of the 40th years of the XX century is quite
poorly studied or presented only incidentally in several works. In too time the volume
of this help and close contacts between the Soviet and Chinese representatives aren't
called in question that is especially important in a year of the 70 anniversary of our

        <abstracts>
This article is devoted to the description of the results of the content’s analysis of
the two largest Soviet printed media periodicals daily Central newspapers «Pravda»
and «Izvestia» in the period from 1937 to 1945, in order to reflect the events of Sino-
Japanese war. It is concluded that the reflection of the events of the Sino-Japanese war,
the tone and nature of publications in the Soviet periodical press complied with
general political culture of the USSR in 1930–1940's and its incident to information
model. Soviet media only partly covered the real political situation only in a small
extent. The images of China created by media have more to do with foreign policy of
the Soviet government and the ensuing tasks than with the real situation.

        <abstracts>
In both, contemporary Russian and foreign historiography of war captivity in the
USSR of 1940's, it is almost not researched, such aspect of administrative work of the
soviet system GUPVI MVD SSSR (Main Administration for Affairs of Prisoners of
War and Internees) as its personnel potential and, first of all, in its professionallymoral
dimension. The very members of this organization not only organized the use of
prisoners of war labour and their everyday life, but also did educational (anti-fascist)
work on them, encouraged and punished certain individuals. The article is focused on
rather controversial character of such members by the example of one of the prisonerof-
war camps  number 157  in Leningrad Oblast in 1944–1947. The authors
attempt, as it were, to «scan» a complex scheme of professionally significant and
personally motivated relations in the limits of camp interaction in general, to explain
their major dominant ideas, and reveal the reasons of departure from norms and the
law.

        <abstracts>
The subject and content of this article are for me quite special significance
because it will be about my father, Enzo Maria Capilupi, who is not with us on this
Earth already twenty years. In August 1992, almost two years before his death, he was
at my request finally shared his memories of the war, which up to this principle did
not. This story written by me then, as it seems to me, very vividly conveys the simple
experiences of a young Italian at the end of the Second World War on the background
of the special relations and conflicts between believers Catholics and
fascists.Biographical story that I would like to submit, allows on the basis of the
particular case to judge the typical consequences of a collision between the embattled
young idealist and Nazi war machine and the contradictions of history itself. In 16
years, my father, then living with his family in Milan, went to the barracks
«Bersaglieri» to enlist the front. This was the first act in a chain of accidents,
absolutely changing his views, formed under the influence of the fascist state. Later,
when the Easter of 1944 was near, Enzo, who had school memory of the Easter
holidays, asked the commander leave to go to Rome and see the parents. It is not
surprising that Enzo was refused. Outraged to the core, he said the sentry that he goes to
«a little look around» and voluntarily went to Rome hitchhiking in the truck, one of the
traders-illegals. To parents he lied, saying that they gave him a kind of temporary
«freedom». Four days later, they accompanied him to the home station, where Enzo said
desired password «Nembo» («cloud») and took the train that brought him back to the
frontline zone. He sincerely did not think that militaries will to punish him severely.
After two and a half weeks Enzo was in the train to Germany. He sat one year and six
months in German concentration camps (Dachau and Torgau) as a «deserter». When my
father came home of his convictions fascist there remained no trace.

This article is devoted to a problem of ecological consciousness and formation of
ecological culture. It is designated that the global problems which have overflowed the
world in the 20th century, have shown necessity of reconsideration of the relationship
between a person and nature, space and self-identity at the ideological level.
Considered the history of development of environmental ethics and its main directions,
such as ecosophy, deep ecology, ethics of responsibility. At the same time it is
emphasized that within the framework of liberal ideology, the struggle for preservation
of nature remains anthropocentric positions with a contractual type of human activity.
Only in conservatism the author sees grounds for the harmony of life, unity of man and
space, following the natural historical process. It is also noted that the sense of
responsibility for the legacy we have inherited and transferred to descendants grows
out of attachment and belonging to this heritage. Based on the analysis of ideas of the
Russian cosmists and religious philosophers about unity of the person and space, the
author comes to the conclusion that the basis for the formation of ecocentric outlook
lies in the principle of integrity.

military hospital. This attempt was made in 1916 on the initiative of the Australian
opera star Nellie Melba as a sign of Australia’s respect and gratitude to the Russian
people which was the Australian ally in the First World War battlefields. The offer of
Melba aroused the great enthusiasm among the Australians, but commenced
fundraising campaign has been interrupted since the military authorities of Australia

outside the British Empire. However, an attempt to equip and donate the hospital to
Russian allies became convincing evidence of the growing sympathy of Australians to
