This article analyzes women's political participation in Kazakhstan, with a focus on regional aspects. The study examines the degree of women's representation in local authorities, as well as their overall participation in political and public life in the context of regions, identifies key factors that influence the level of their political participation, and analyzes gender barriers and stereotypes that hinder women's full integration into the political sphere. A general statistical analysis of official sources of women's political participation in the Republic of Kazakhstan, supplemented by thematic biographical analysis, the study includes materials on 15 women leaders from five regions of the country (South, North, Center, West, and East) involved in political and public life. The focus is on the personal and social factors that influence women's career paths, as well as the challenges and obstacles they face. The results show that gender stereotypes and a lack of support from family and society are key challenges. Despite this, female participants emphasize the importance of believing in themselves and striving for professional development. Based on the findings, the authors offer recommendations for increasing women's participation in politics in Kazakhstan.
