        <p>One of the main events of 2018-2019 years was the trade conflict between the major economic leaders of the People's Republic of China and the United States of America. The trade war between the two countries was covered by international media. The purpose of this scientific article is to cover the stages of this trade confrontation on the basis of news articles of the Xinhua News Agency. Therefore, for this purpose, a brief description of the Chinese media and this particular agency was given. The authors analyzed about 150 news articles published by Xinhua. As a result, we have identified seven stages of the US-China trade conflict, from the beginning of the confrontation to its end then highlighted the specifics of the Chinese side's interpretation of the trade conflict with the United States.</p>
