This paper discusses the philosophical and historical views of P.G. Vinogradov. He developed his philosophical and historical doctrine, based on the teachings of Herbert Spencer of social evolution. Drawing an analogy between society and organism, Vinogradov had hoped to formulate general concept of social evolution. P.G.
