The goal of the article is interpretation of the conception of the traditional nature use as an example of the community of Saami of Lovozero and publishing the results of field works carried in 2011 at the framework of the project “Tundra”. There is widespread point of view that traditional way of life includes reindeer herding, fishing carried by historically formed methods although it is unsustainable in the modern political and economic conditions. The strategy of adaptation for Saami communities in Kola Peninsula is extension kinds of traditional nature use by including tourist activity.
