The Spanish language is one of the most spoken and the first taught language in the world. This article is about the general characteristics of the Spanish language, as well as about main linguistics peculiarities of the Cuban variant of the Spanish language that could be taken into consideration in the process of teaching Spanish language in the Russian –speaking classroom.
