The article is devoted to history of teaching of philosophy of history at the Russian universities, to research of problems of historical ontology and gnoseology reading by Russian philosophers at universities. Their academic method provided primary studying of epistemological, theoretical and methodological aspects of a historiography, development of questions of historical process and historical knowledge.
