The article shows some experience of professional competence formation during the active learning methods activity. The methods are described in the form of practical classes delivered at life safety course. This is a heuristic conversation, the method of case study,-role-playing and problem-oriented independent work. Active learning approaches increase the language level and contribute, as experience shows, to the formation of the foreign students professional competence. This idea is proved by the experience gained at the life safety classes.
