The article deals with various aspects of formation of communicative competence of students of the Republic of Turkey who study in the universities of the Russian Federation. The research data and the number of enrollments of Russian universities are analyzed. In the paper the main ethno-psychological, methodical and linguistic difficulties arising in the process of teaching Russian language to Turkish students are also described.
