The article describes experience of Italian governmental organization «Simest» in support of international activities of small and medium sized enterprises. Main directions of support are presented. Terms of support for all directions are reported. Main results for more than 20 years operational activity of «Simest» are described. Recommendations for state support of Russian small and medium sized business are formulated.
