A MESSAGE FROM THE EDITORIAL TEAM

Greetings, valued readers!

This issue of our magazine delves into the concept of “Greater Eurasia”, a term that has transcended its geographical roots. It now represents a vibrant, multi-dimensional, and intricate entity, serving as a platform for intercultural exchange, where economic aspirations, historical connections, and emerging political initiatives converge. Eurasia's trajectory in the 21st century won't be shaped by the pronouncements of a single entity, but rather through a multifaceted and occasionally conflicting, yet essential, exchange of expert perspectives.

This issue, themed “Greater Eurasia: Expert Dialogue”, aims to explore the full spectrum of challenges and opportunities facing the Eurasian region. Our discussion commences with geopolitical considerations, examining how the concept of multipolarity is represented in prominent regional media outlets. Subsequently, we delve into specific regions and models, considering Central Asia and the Caucasus as pivotal areas for the development of a Greater Eurasian Partnership. Our analysis delves into the impact of a particular element on the Russia-Azerbaijan relationship: the Turkic identity. A dedicated section examines “soft power” and its humanitarian implications. This section further explores the conceptual framework surrounding culture, investigating its philosophical underpinnings. This concluding segment takes us back to our origins, exploring modern cultural interactions in Eurasia through as a times.

Each article goes beyond simply presenting facts; it provides expert insights, encourages debate, and explores solutions to contemporary challenges. We believe this issue will serve as a rich resource, offering valuable information and stimulating reflection for anyone interested in the history, current state, and future of the Eurasian region. We anticipate that the presented materials will significantly contribute to the ongoing discourse among experts regarding the future of Eurasia. This journal issue holds particular significance for us, as it is dedicated to commemorating the anniversary of Igor Fedorovich Kefeli, a renowned scholar and intellectual whose groundbreaking work foreshadowed contemporary conversations concerning the Eurasian realm. His extensive research exploring the philosophical underpinnings of culture, the identities of civilizations, and Russia's role in global geopolitics provides a robust framework for comprehending the intricate integration processes unfolding across the world's most expansive continent. The concept of “Greater Eurasia” is not merely economics and politics; it is, above all, a cultural and civilizational dialogue, the profound nature of which the scholar places primary emphasis.
