The cooperation between Russia and China gains strategic importance in the conditions of economic and political confrontation with Western countries. A joint development of the Northern Sea Route is one of the directions of such collaboration. Here converge the interests of both Russia and China. Both countries step by step implement this idea beginning from 2017. The only question whether they could overcome public private interests and see common benefit in the development of the Arctic.
