This article analyzes the domestic and foreign works related to the topic of cooperation between Germany and the USSR in the fuel and energy sector of the economy from 1920 to 1945. The cooperation between Russia and Germany is one of the most important areas of international relations in the field of energy. The purpose of the work is to determine the role of Russian energy in the German market before the Second World War and to assess the role of political events and the development prospects for the promotion of the relations in the field of energy at the present stage.
