The article is devoted to the analysis of China’s national policy in Xinjiang-Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR). The main changes in the national policy of the country, starting from the period of Republican China are considered. The legislative base that regulates the national policy of the People’s Republic of China is analyzed separately. The article discusses the importance of national policy in order to prevent separatist sentiment in the region.
