The defense of Sevastopol was one of heroic pages in the history of World War II.
Fascists stormed the city three times. Despite the heroism of Sevastopol defenders,
who nearly seven months were in a siege, in July 1942 reserves were on an outcome
and the city had to be handed over to the enemy. Thousands of soldiers were doomed
to captivity and death. Based on the memoirs and public sources, the authors tried to
find the answer to the question, was it possible to avoid the tragic ending?
