This article is devoted to the study of memorial complexes of Donbass as forms of historical memory of Great Patriotic War 1941 – 1945. Author explores the value of memorial complexes, which are located on territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. War monuments are the symbols of folk memory and connecting link in the chain of succession of values of different generations. Memorial complexes of Donbas are the symbol of military memory. Moreover, they can serve to the matter of transmission of traditions and historical true to the future generations.
