        <p>The article studied the interaction between the Soviet Navy and cinema in the late
1930s – 1940s. Attention is paid to the participation in the creation of Fleet naval
training films in the late 1930s. Considered fourteen fiction and two documentaries on
the naval theme, taken by Soviet filmmakers from 1938 to 1949. The conclusion is that
these films reflect the activities of the Soviet navy before and during World War II, it
became bright documents of their time.</p>
