The article considers the heroism of Soviet people in the rear on the example of the oldest Yaroslavl factory «Crasny mayak» (№ 777), which passed during the war from the production of construction tools to military products. This plant was the first in the Yaroslavl region which apply the method of the conveyor assembly line. The work with maximum efforts has become the norm; it compensated the downtimes and was a concrete manifestation of patriotism.
