During the writing of this article were analyzed about 30 books – diaries, analytic materials, and memoirs of the servicemen of the Wehrmacht, which contended the evaluations of qualities of Red Army and Russian soldiers. According the opinion of German authors, the Red Army was an estimable enemy and Russian soldier showed oneself as extremely dangerous opponent
