The article is devoted to modern studies in Russia of Nazi Germany’s policy in science. Considers the problem of historical continuity and traditions of Russian historiography of national socialism. Special attention is paid to the key contradictions and the poles of the biases in the assessment of the scientific life in Germany 30-40- ies. Showing that the revision of the Soviet historiographical tradition of representation of national socialism as the culmination of German imperialism resulted in the resurrection of the concept of «rupture» and «accident» in German history.
