        <p>The article deals with one of the principal categories of Russian philosophy. On the analysis of the Slavophils' concepts different aspects of the given category have been revealed, the ones connected with the ontology, epistemology, social-political philosophy. The influence of the given concept on other Russian thinkers has been shown.</p>
