        <p>The article is dedicated to the specificities of information behavior of the representatives of younger and older generations. The article aims to characterize the heuristic potential of the concept of “digital natives” basing on the recent American and European researches, as well as to discuss some problems of media consumption and visual practices, that are relevant to the present-day digital culture. The consequences of dissemination of information communication technologies are reviewed.</p>
