The article deals with the construction of the system of university management. The main attention is paid to the quality-oriented outcome and the quality of the institution functioning process. Some basic terminology is described. The system of indicators to measure the quality of the individual elements of the university as well as the principles of system management solutions are given and analyzed; the measures to improve the quality of the university are highlighted.
